L4-5, L5-S1 Disc Herniations with Surgical Discectomies - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit portrays L4-5, L5-S1 disc herniations with surgical discectomies. The first illustration shows the post-accident condition in a sagittal view of the lumbar spine. It shows a herniated and degenerated L4-5 disc and a herniated and degenerated L5-S1 disc impinging on the dura and right nerve root. The second illustration shows a posterior view of the nerves of the leg. In it, the compressed S1 nerve is shown exiting the spine, with pain radiating down the right leg. The next two illustrations depict the discectomy procedure. The third illustration shows the creation of an incision to expose the L4, L5 and S1 vertebrae. The ligamentum flavum is removed from the right side of L5-S1. The fourth illustration shows the retraction of the right nerve root. The herniated and degenerated L5-S1 disc material is removed, decompresing the nerve root.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"At 3 PM it hit me--I needed exhibits of a tracheostomy, a coronary artery bypass and a deep vein thrombosis--all in time for a for-trial video deposition the next day. The Doe Report had each exhibit on line. In addition, I ran across an exhibit I hadn't even thought of: reduced ejection fraction after a heart attack. Because this was a video deposition, I could use the e-mail version of the medical exhibit, print it on my color copier, and let the camera zoom in. For $400, less than one blow-up by one of The Doe Report's competitors, I got four first-rate exhibits in less than a day. The Doe Report saved me time and money."
