This set of medical illustrations shows the anatomy of the anus and rectum. The first illustration depicts a cut-away view of the large intestine (colon), rectum and anus, including the rectosigmoid junction. The second image is an enlarged view of the lower rectum and anus, including an internal hemorrhoid, external sphincter, internal sphincter, anal gland, anal crypt and dentate line.
