This stock medical exhibit shows post-accident facial fractures with surgical fixation in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows post-accident injuries, including a left nasal bone fracture, a nasal septum fracture and bilateral maxillary sinus wall fracture, including the lateral, inferior and medial walls. The second illustration shows post-accident injuries in a side cut-away view of the nose, including olfactory nerve damages. The third illustration shows post-operative fixation, including plate and screw hardware and bone graft. The fourth illustration is an x-ray, showing the hardware in place.
