Traumatic Right Hand and Shoulder Injuries with Surgical Repairs - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit depicts traumatic right hand and shoulder injuries with surgical repairs in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows an overview of the post-accident condition, with injuries to the shoulder and hand. The second illustration shows a detail of the shoulder injuries, which are impingement and tendinosus of the shoulder. The third illustration shows a detail of the hand injuries, which include an open fracture of the distal phalanx and degloving injury to the fifth finger, volar skin loss to the fourth finger and a skin laceration to the third finger. The fourth illustration shows the first step of the procedure, in which the wounds are debrided and the fifth finger is amputated. The fifth illustration shows the use of the skin from the amputated finger to create a graft to cover the defect in the fourth finger. The sixth illustration shows the suturing of the laceration in the third finger.
